Seats behind the screens at London Stadium
I finally managed to see a match at the new stadium while on holidays from Canada. Pretty much every aspect of the stadium is disappointing in comparison to Upton Park, especially being herded around the shopping centre to the tube for about an hour after the match.

One thing I noticed and didn't understand was the seats behind the video screens at either end of the stadium. There appeared to be people sitting in some seats that wouldn't have had a view of the field. Is that right? What would these seats cost and why would anyone want to sit there?

It's a sort of optical illusion. It looks like the seats are behind the screen from a distance but they're not. Unfortunately. I wanted a screen in front of me at the NEwcastle match

I sat in the very back row behind the screen at the BM end during the athletics. You can't see the opposite screen because the bottom of the floodlight structure is in the way but you can see all the pitch perfectly fine.

Thanks very much - I'll definitely ask for details about getting away before I go again.

They can all see the pitch just fine. I assume they're the £289 season ticket seats, although I wouldn't sit up there for free.

The long walk to freedom is completely avoidable, although given that you were on your first trip over it's fair that you wouldn't know that. Ask on here next time and people will give you alternative routes!

They'll be the seats reserved for "Next Level" football supporters.
